🏀 Coachoop

1. Who we are

Coachoop is a web application that helps basketball coaches manage their teams: scheduling practices, tracking a roster of players, building practice drills with a tactical drawing board, and optionally syncing practice schedules to the coach's personal Google Calendar. Coachoop is developed and operated by an independent developer (contact details in Section 9).

2. Information we collect

a) Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google Cloud service).

b) Content you create in the app

• Team names, colors, and settings you create.
• Player roster information you choose to enter, which may include player names, parent/guardian contact details, and personal notes about a player that you add.
• Practice schedules, recurring practice rules, drills, and tactical board drawings you create.
• Free-text notes you write about your team.

This information is entered directly by the coach using the app (you). It is not collected from or shown to players or parents through Coachoop; the app has no separate login for players or parents.

c) Google Calendar data (only if you choose to connect it)

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar from the app's Account Settings screen, Coachoop requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope. This is used exclusively to:

• Create, update, and delete calendar events on your own primary Google Calendar that correspond to practices, recurring practice rules, and blocked/holiday dates you manage inside Coachoop.

Coachoop does not read, browse, or store the content of your existing calendar events that are unrelated to Coachoop-created practices. Coachoop does not share your Google Calendar data with any third party, and does not use it for advertising or profiling of any kind.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the core functionality of the app: displaying your teams, players, schedules, and drills back to you.
• To optionally keep your personal Google Calendar in sync with the practice schedule you manage in Coachoop, only if you explicitly connect it.
• To authenticate you and keep your data private to your account (or, for users with an administrator role, to the teams they are permitted to manage).

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

All app data (teams, players, practices, notes) is stored using Firebase Authentication and Firebase Cloud Firestore, both Google Cloud services. Access to your data is restricted to your own account (coaches can only see the teams they own; app administrators, if any, may have broader access to support the service).

5. Google API Services User Data compliance

Coachoop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data accessed through Google Calendar is used solely to provide the practice-sync feature described in Section 2(c) above, is not transferred to any third party, and is not used for any advertising purpose.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the app's Account Settings screen ("Disable automatic connection"), which stops any further calendar access. To request full deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us using the details in Section 9 below.

7. Children's privacy

Coachoop is intended for use by adult coaches and is not directed at children. While a coach may enter a player's name and a parent/guardian's contact details as part of managing their roster, this information is entered by the coach (an adult), and children do not directly access, log into, or use the Coachoop application themselves.

8. Security

All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, and data storage uses Firebase Cloud Firestore's built-in access controls.
